I must say, the whole first anniversary=paper anniversary thing? Lame. My advice to all Buffistae planning their weddings or looking ahead to the first anniversary is to say paper, pfft. As of now, the first anniversary is officially the water anniversary. Possibly the water and Italian food anniversary. I'm still feeling all pleasantly rubbery and boneless from the steam and the hot tub and the prosecco.

At brunch yesterday, Sparky was wearing her NillyTour '04 shirt, and it made me all misty.

Nilly, well, it was an online chat on HBO's message board, promoting the Wire, which was on the verge of being canceled. He'd just killed a major character and the fans were freaked. I thanked him for the HSQ, and requested that I should be allowed to write McNulty's death, should they ever need it, at the hands of some woman or her husband, that I would both cry and laugh while writing it. I like to pretend he went into HBO armed with the new concept off the internets, and completely knocked their socks off, but I am vain that way. Probably nsm of a story if you are not a blathering fangirl, but at least I didn't run him over with my chair or anything. Aw, JZ, I'm thinking most of The Good Ones are taken, nowadays, but thanks for the tip.

Just reading about it makes me misty. Wow. This time last year I was waiting for my visa-application interview. I can't believe it's been a year. I can't believe it actually happened. I look at pictures, and I'm wondering what I'm doing inside them.

It was a tremendous help for me considering I had like no money to put down. Pretty much literally. I was such a stress case all that Fall though.
