Morning, peeps! Congrats to Dana and MsBelle!
Still recovering from having someone I liked actually win Survivor. First time that's ever happened. And another thing--
I wish Jeff could have asked the group if they felt differently after seeing the series and seeing what actually went on. Tom would have seen that Gregg was fixated on getting him out and that Ian did say he was going to vote Tom off, not to the girls but to the camera. Anmd they all would have seen Katie's flip-flopping.
how are you?
Not supposed to be here but playing a bit anyway?
That's a strange way to spell "really busy", isn't it? The semester is a bit crazy, and I'm way behind on all sorts of stuff I have to do. Oh, and we found a new roommate! She's several years younger than the average age of me and my roommates, but she doesn't seem to care (most girls her age wouldn't even consider flatmating with senior citizens like me and my roommates). She seems really nice, and I hope all of us will get along well. I really miss the one that left, but she got married and is really happy, so I forgive her for leaving, kind soul that I am.
On GA, I was wondering if they were using
the patient's decision to "balance out" Christina's, or at least show that different women will make different decisions.
eta: I'm glad you found a roommate you think will work out, Nilly.
Robin, yes. I was disappointed with how little I'd heard from Ian in the reunion, particularly w/r/t Katie. Speaking of, I remember now how absurdly outraged
Katie was that Ian was considering Tom's offer to take him if he jumped. God, she's ridiculous. About the only thing she brought to the game was the ability to guilt-trip Ian, and pretty much everyone was able to do that, she just got there first.
Maybe I read too much sci-fi, but this seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I can't put my finger on why -- I suspect it's just that whenever someone fucks with the chemistry of water in science fiction, it ends up being a bad idea, so hearing about it happening in real life makes me nervous.
It'll be fine. We're not talking about Ice-9 here. It sounds like all they've done is pump a lot of oxygen and a little salt into distilled water. As noted in the article, the stuff rapidly returns to ordinary water once exposed to normal environment.
I'm glad Ian got a car. the poor crazy-eyed goofball. The BF tells me that car is worth $60,000, so he could sell it and have enough after taxes to pay off his school loans if he wanted.
I LOVED that the "goodbye" montage had Janu crying in EVERY scene. I guess Burnett hated her as much as the rest of us.
Timelies all! And may the fours be with me.
Sumi, I thought that might be Ping too!
Had he called her "Sleepy-doo" we'd have known.
I am in my new cube.
Unsurprisingly, I kinda hate it. I had two cubes worth of stuff, and now have to squeeze it into one. And they messed up my monitor when moving it, so the bottom right hand corner is too blue.
