You were very nearly devoured by a giant demon snake. The words 'let that be a lesson' are a tad redundant at this juncture.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Katie and Vonnie are going to be here at the end of May, over Memorial Day weekend. yay!

OOh, fun.

Maybe the first weekend in June for a housewarming then.

Perkins, I'm glad you're settling in well. A good view is a lovely thing. How often have you moved with the cats before? I'm sure they'll be fine before long.

Thanks Kate (and hey, did you finally get the tapes?). I've moved Perkins from Maine to LA before, but not Ozzie. Is your friend thinking of driving or flying with the cats?

Oh! I did get the tapes, and kept meaning to mention it and say thank you. Sorry, and thank you!

She's not sure if she's going to drive or fly; it depends on the condition of her car at that point. Both present their own problems, I guess. How did you move Perkins from Maine to LA?

I had to fly, because of the time frame of the move, and I ended up getting a car service to take me to Boston from Portland, and flying from there. If your friend flies, I would recommend against United (they lost the cats in LA). I've heard Northwest is good. She might want to talk to her vet about getting some tranquilizers for the cat for flight day, if she goes that route.

I think the drive up here this time went much better than expected because I put a towel over Ozzie's cage, so he felt more secure and was much quieter than expected.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yesterday I finally figured out how to hook up my new laptop to my cable internet. For *eleven months* I had my wheezy, creaking laptop on win98 trying to deal with a fast connection while I had a brand new computer poking along on wireless dial-up. I won't say how stupid the fix turned out to be. But I downloaded fifty songs on itunes in the first hour I had the hookup-- instant gratification is fucking addictive, man.

So now I'm downloading the high-res Serenity trailer while looking at the page of Orlando/Rosenbaum pics. And those are some pretty boys, but I'm sorry to say, only one of them is a man.

Thanks for the advice. I've marked your post. They lost your cats???? Oh, L. would not take that well. I think she probably will give them tranqs of some sort to make it easier on everyone.

They couldn't find them for about half an hour after they took them off the plane, and I kept being shuttled from one place to another. It's fair to say I didn't take it well. My mother had come to the airport to get us, and on the way home she told me she'd never seen me that mad before.

If your friend wants to email me with questions, feel free to give her my address.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, I would totally hulk out. I was pretty annoyed when that happened to my luggage recently, but my CAT?!?!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well, for the record, you do know that if you need a place to sleep, I can offer you a roof over your head, right?

Thanks. I still need to figure out what I'm going to be doing, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to take you up on it, but thanks for the offer. And once I get my schedule, I'll email you to figure out if there's some time that we can get together.

I don't hulk out when I get that mad; if anything I seem to get more "concetrated" and focused. I know I scared at least one of the luggage people though. According to my mother, my eyes also got a very bright blue.

My must do list for the day is down to unpacking 3 more boxes, bills, benefits paperwork, and a run to the grocery store. My should do list is miles long, but really, who cares about that list?
