Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Coding and Sleeping

The spaceship is going slow right now. I've got half made and painted engine pods, the rear wall and door, the part-way finished control panels, and part of the nose half-painted. At some point I hope to actually start putting things on it right now.

Does that seem right to you?

No. No, that's not right at all.

Bag the crypto. Say what is on your mind.

Gud is going to end up on one those documentaries about fandom.

We shall watch, and chortle with glee, and say "We knew Gud when!"

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Kat, when you go to the South Island, don't do Milford Sound. Do Doubtful Sound: it costs more, but it's totally worth it. Milford Sound (and the drive to it) was beautiful, but there were too many people.

Also? Christchurch has a fabulous Arts Center in the middle of town with a fun brewpub/vegetarian restaurant. Highly recommended.

And definitely do the dolphin swimming in Kaikoura: we still regret not going for that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy belated-paper anniversary JZ & Hec!

It's not belated. It's...uh, prelated. Tomorrow.

Not only did nobody get hurt at Emmett's game, we had the option of exercising the slaughter rule. We were up 10-0. We opted to play on and the other team (a) scored a run and (b) shut us down in the final inning, so I think it was worth it for them.

Congratulations to Jim and Penny! Welcome baby Seth.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Oops. I misread. Damn that skip and skim.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I was recently reminded about Giles's song from Restless, and I said, "Oh yeah, I've got that... somewhere..." The somewhere turns out to be on my old laptop, which last I checked was in pretty rotten shape. Anyone got a sound file of that?

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I just saw a recent pic of Bettie Page posing with Pamela Anderson and Anna Nicole Smith. She looks so tiny, and still has the trademark bangs. She's still pretty adorable at 82.
