Hey, it's JZ. I'm just fixing lunch; call me in 15?
What Happens in Natter 35 Stays in Natter 35
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Sure, assuming that was for me.
Eeek!
I don't know whether the Southern Hemisphere overall is colder than the Northern, or hotter -- but I do know that the landlocked South Pole is seriously colder than the North Pole, because of the warming effect of the Arctic Ocean, even ice-covered as it is.
A Japanese research team has developed a fuel cell that runs on blood without using toxic substances, opening the way for use in artificial hearts and other organs.
The biological fuel cell uses glucose, a sugar in blood, with a non-toxic substance used to draw electrons from glucose, said the team led by Matsuhiko Nishizawa, bio-engineering professor at the graduate school of state-run Tohoku University.
"Since the electron mediator is based on Vitamin K3, which exists in human bodies, it excels in safety and could in the future generate power from blood as an implant-type fuel cell," the group said in a statement.
Oooh, biological fuel cells could be cool! Or possibly, scary in a Matrix-y kinda way. Although this could be a way to finally harness the incredible energy of the 3-11 year old set.
Humacell. It keeps going and going and going . . .
Biological fuel cells very cool, hitting the foot in the shower not so cool. Ouch.
Oh, WOW. I love living now.
Just saw a Burger King commercial for Empire Burger. They're just not true to the concept at all. It should have frozen white meat in it -- frozen white meat in a bun.
Was that what that thing was? I caught it out of the corner of my eye on a restaurant TV at lunch today, and thought to myself "of the two, the Burger King is WAY scarier than Darth Vader!"
Still, you know your commercial icon is making an impression on pop culture when people start making web animations about it. Burger King is definitely drawing more public awareness with this campaign than they've had in years.
I'm just not sure superstitious dread is the sort of awareness a company would want.
Of course BK is scarier. Vader is just a hench. A bit meaner and powerfuler than the garden gnome varity, but he's still pretty much just a hench.
