Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

"Secret Bitch Cabal" is a dismissive term generally bandied about by people who don't want to discuss/acknowledge/alter behavior that has been upsetting enough to drive numerous good folks from the board.

It's sad.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I did, thanks!! But the ring was somehow not in there? (I didn't email you? Must have been a dream.)

YAY! Glad it arrived!

Jessica, Yes, it should. Though the whitefont aspect of it confuses me. I should go google it.

I suddenly have the urge to change my tag to:

"I have seen the fnords"

Okay, writing this FAQ for school is not so much fun right now.

Your tag here.

I skimmed through a couple of pages of posts starting from Kat's link and I get the general gist of the discussion back then.

I think this board would make an interesting sociology study. Up until recently, it's been unheard of for people's personal interactions to be recorded verbatim and to be kept for all time. As opposed to "normal" interactions when "he said she said" may fade, now one can point to what was said EXACTLY 4 years 7 months ago (and it's STILL all!your!fault!). I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not. It certainly makes for interesting social dynamics.

Just an observation. Debate optional.

Bwahahaha!

What do the University of Oregon's history department in Eugene, Ore.; the Happy Ending bar in Manhattan; and the Abstinence Clearinghouse in Sioux Falls, S.D. have in common?

According to Google Maps, the for-free location and driving instructions service that the San Francisco-based search giant operates, all are identified as houses of ill repute.

American users who enter their Zip codes in the search field at Google Maps, then type in "brothel" (without the quotation marks) are shown a map with various business and organizations identified as, yes, bordellos.

I wonder how many words there are in English for a brothel. (brodello, whorehouse, and?)

Thesaurus.com says:

bawdy house, bordello, call house, cathouse, chicken ranch, crib, disorderly house, hook shop, massage parlor, red-light district, stew, whorehouse

Chicken ranch?
