We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Numb3rs was fun tonight. I think it's cute that Charlie can't spell.

Charlie's just cute. I'm happy that he's going to be in Serenity. This means that eventually he'll be turning up at conventions and maybe I'll get to meet him.

By "meet" I mean "stand in the same room with", of course.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Your tag here.

I don't mean to open old wounds, but in B'raxxy a cabal was mentioned and it seemed to spark strong feelings; like someone was joking about something serious. I couldn't quite understand what the issue was. Could someone provide some insight?

I feel like I need a Buffistas History - Cliff's Notes version.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think the last thing (okay, one of the last things) we should do is restate that discussion. I don't want to sound flip, but you should read the link Kat provided and ensuing discussion. I know I couldn't explain it without doing it disservice and antagonising people.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Sadly, there's no Cliff Note's version, but....

t edited because ita explained why an explanation wouldn't happen much better than I did in my explaining what did happen

As a person who has been accused of being an activist poster or to having de facto power, I'm continually amused by the idea that there is an activist Buffista Bitch cabal running the community. I figure since I was accused of being one, and since I should be offended but I'm not, I'm perfectly capable of at least laughing at the concept.

I posted a link somewhere in there to the original kerfuffle which makes good, if lengthy reading.

Surprisingly on reread I didn't post very much at the time. Thus, knocking myself out of the Go14!

Go team having a life! (except not. I'm more busy than life having at this point)

ita, check email please.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I will defnintely see the film, even though I don't really like horror.

I might too, if/when it comes out. The finale was adorable.

And, re: secret bitch cabal -- in every internet community, there comes a time when accusations are made to the effect that there is a core powerful group who run everything merely by being loud and pushy, and kerfufflement ensues. We've had a few of those. The one Kat linked to was unique only in its staying power. It was not the first, and I'm sure it won't be the last. The result of these kerfuffles is that many of us who have been implicated in this so-called cabal (for lo, I am a loudmouth bitch, and ever will be so) find the idea of having power in a community such as this completely hysterical, and can't help but joke about it from time to time.

Oh, and my best friend growing up moved to Columbia MD when we were 10-ish. I remember it being very clean and pretty and having funny street names.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Except me. I am still angry that you people won't bow to my will!!!

I will, if you say pretty please, and wear your cowboy hat.
