Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds fantastic, Wolfram.

Is it that you can't get them in the summer because they melt,

That's what they say. You also can basically only get them in the north east.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Perkins, I haven't done much with it yet. I do plan on playing with it on the plane to NOLA.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That sounds really nice, Wolfram. I'm glad you got to go, and hope you get a chance to go for longer soon.

Aha! THis explains the vast well of ignorance.

Seriously, I heard them mentioned on an episode of Roseanne lo these many years ago and have always wondered what the hell they were.

(eta: is a cake in convenient cookie form like a muffin top but from a cup cake?)

I just noticed that the grocery store up here actually sells muffin tops. Thanks, my life is Seinfeldian enough as it is.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I realize the time to admire tortie-point cats have passed, but here's one that I'm particularly fond of:

Art Crawl!!!

Awww, she's a beauty.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Fluffy tail! I love medium and longhaired fluffy tails.

Oh, and all these cat photos are not good for me right now, since I'm seriously considering getting a companion for my one cat, who is bored out of her mind (the vet says she's compulsively licking herself, and I think it's getting worse, no matter how many toys I get her). I'm worried how she'll react to another cat. I want to get another female, younger than Amarna (who's around three), who won't have problems with being in a multicat 1BR apartment.

When my friend got her kittens from a fostering program, one of the rules was if for whatever reason it wasn't working, the fostering person would take the animal back, no questions asked. Kathy, you might look to get another cat from something/one like that (as opposed to a traditional shelter, ) so you can have a week or whatever trial with a new cat.

Theo, that's a purty cat. She looks like she knows it too.
