Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have no idea what a Mallomar is. Some sort of snack food? I picture it as vaguely moon pie ish.

I have to keep my password written down so that my boss can use my computer when I'm not here. I don't know why we even have passwords. I try to make mine as stupid as possible - I used "Password01" for a while, just changing the numbers everytime security forced me to change it.

(eta: is a cake in convenient cookie form like a muffin top but from a cup cake?)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What cakey secrets must it hold in order to pass itself off as a cookie? Hmmm???

The secret of peace and harmony among all races, obviously. Don't you people watch Seinfeld?

You see, it's like a cupcake, except with a much larger surface area, which means it can have that much more frosting.

It's the overbaked top of a cupcake, essentially? Someone brought me one from NY once. I'm still sort of mystified by the cultlike status it has.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Which is actually okay, since it means they're proportionately less yucky.

Wait, what did you just say?!??!

Note: Mallomar = cookie with marshmallow and chocolate. Seaonal. AWESOME. Black and white cookie = cakelike, no marshmallow. Moon pie like. Year round.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You have to eat three or four before the crack kicks in.

Okay, science folks, I've a question for you. Is the Southern Hemisphere warmer than the northern? someone claims it is true but I'm skeptical. and if it is, why?

What is even happening?

Is that black and white cookie what Bostonians might call a Half Moon? It's sort of like one half of a whoopie pie, with half of it frosted with white frosting, and half frosted in chocolate?

Jesse are you here? Can you translate to bridge the New York --> Boston communication gap.

Cindy, it was incredible. First real vacation our family has had, ever, and we couldn't have picked a better spot. What a beautiful country. And Nilly (who I was unable to see this visit unfortunately) tells me the Passover weather was one of the best she can remember.

I remember Nilly saying that. That's great. Were you visiting any family or friends, or were you there only as pilgrims? What did you get to see while you were there?

slow xpost

Dunno.

Summer in the Southern Hemisphere is both shorter and brighter, as the earth is closer to the sun then. Dunno if that translates into it actually being warmer.

So is this, like, comparing the average temp of a bunch of points in the Northern Hemisphere to the average of a bunch of points of the Southern Hemisphere? If so, it depends on what points you pick. Maybe it's based on infrared emisions picked up by satellite?

If the Southern Hemisphere is warmer than the Northern, it would probably be due to average weather conditions in the two hemispheres.

Anyway, what it comes down to is that I don't know.
