ER last night was so boggling that I can't even recap it. Only to say. Kem ain't his wife, as far as I know.
And as for Morris, no idea if he'll get his comeuppance - hopefully next week. BUT, He and Parminder are friends outside of work. We saw then at Howl at the Moon on CityWalk.
THAT's who Kem is. I stopped watching for several years! Also is ther any good reason Why Morris was chosen for that position. Did he donate money to build a new hospital wing as well?
I haven't watched this week's ep (Sophia -- you need to fix your spoiler font), but my understanding from last week was that although Morris was a TERRIBLE doctor, he had impressive organisational and logistical skills, as evidenced by his presentation.
sorry- fixed!
So, what I saw in the promos for er is true?!!?
Morris is chief resident ?!!!??
And did Carter make his big decision and move back to Africa ? But they aren't going to get married? Or can we look forward to a very special Wedding in the season finale ?
sumi, they didn't get married when she was preggers so I don't know if moving to Africa would mean that they would. But, who knows. I didn't think Doug was gonna be on that one ep, either.
Kat, I'm pretty sure i know who the shooter is.
I'm in the to airport in the longest layover ever. i don't know why they had to escort me straight to the US departures area, because I could have shopped or something....
Sue, who is it? Is it Trey? Cause I slowed the Tivo down and it didn't look like him. I figger Trey will die trying to save Marissa.
Is this to imply that I am now?!!kinda, yeah, sarameg.
In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.
It's clunkily written, but a plain interpretation of "Exceptions" here should refer back to the previous sentence, i.e. whether the Supreme Court would have original jurisdiction in any "other cases" instead of just appellate jurisdiction which means that the cases are heard elsewhere first.
It makes absolutely no sense and as far as I can tell there's no precedent for Congress to limit the Supreme Court's powers of review.
