Whoa! I... I think I'm having a thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a thought. Now I'm having a plan. Now I'm having a wiggins.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I don't understand why the wife had to be Asian. Why couldn't she have been anything else? Why did she need to be Asian to drive the point home? Asian cultures/religions aren't the only ones that believe in reincarnation.

Kathy, did you see Hidalgo? I only know that the dirty smelly poet photographer guy is in it.

I caught it on Starz during their free weekend a month or so ago. Not too bad on its own terms--paper thin plot, cliches, and stereotypical "Arabian Prince" competition (I swear that the snooty suitor for Jasmine's hand from the beginning of Disney's Aladdin had come to life at one point: "You were born a street rat dirty Western infidel, and you'll die a street rat dirty Western infidel!"), but the Viggo pretty comes through, and the horse practically steals the movie.

Huh. I knew nothing about it except for Viggo. Clearly.

One of my few joys (esp. right now) is the moment I have before spanish class where I spend 2 hours at Barnes and Noble, drinking iced tea and using their wireless. too bad I eventually have to go to class.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Kat--it's one of BF's favorite recent movies. But he's a gigantic sucker for any movie with animals in it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Jack Chick disapproves of race car drivers with Asian wives.

That's...oddly specific.

Ignoring all the scary talk to tell Raquel that I like her site, it is a fascinating read and baby Mal is a cutie. And nice pictures.

Glerf. 80 in the apartment. Which isn't really unbearable and it isn't supposed to get this warm again for the rest of the week but.... Gimme back my a/c. Even if I don't use it!

My cats are being all puddlish lazy.

I managed to remember to sign up for the buy in baltimore homefair this weekend. Trolley tours! OK, bus until they fill up (and then you have to locomote yourself) but they take you around to various neighborhoods, with neighborhood reps repping and go get to see a few houses on the market in those areas. I think I shall pick ones I know nothing about. Should be fun. Or scary.

I am not surprised that BF likes the animal movie genre. It's kinda adorable though.

Raquel your site is great. I love how it looks. Also, Mal is adorable.

sarameg, will you come and visit and make posole for me?

sarameg - May 11, 2005 3:17:46 pm PDT #3441 of 10001

Sure!

Actually, do you want my halfassed green posole recipe? I think I can come up with it even while not in the middle of making it.

Now you have me wanting it. It actually makes a good summer food if you make the broth thin except for the whole running the stove for a few hours bit.
