You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It could be worse.

I'm not sure it gets worse than Huston Street.

My gawd Mister Kitty is being cute. With his sneer fixed, he is sitting staring at me with big eyes, letting out querying little mows. And he's got his chin trembling. So fucking cute.

He just wants to be carried like a baby and it is too warm for that.

TAR: So Jamaica has a Rio Grande too? Boy, my sleepy little mud stream gets around. (Yes, I know it is a generic name so probably gets used a lot. I just don't think of rivers when it comes to islands.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

sarameg, I was going to answer your post before I read the whitefont. Now I have to ask: why wouldn't islands have rivers? Me, my problem is with rivers in islands, not the other way around.

sarameg - May 10, 2005 4:39:26 pm PDT #3061 of 10001

ita, beecause I am a child of the desert and islands are foreign things to me unless they are a mudflat in the middle of a river. Something surrounded by water with water bisecting it? WEIRD. So basically, I am a big dork with weird notions about that water stuff. I have issues with the horizon when I'm on a coast. It feels higher than my head, which is Wrong.

And did you mean islands in rivers not vice versa? Because I'm confused by the difference between in and have otherwise.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Why can't we manufacture runs against the hopeless A's??

We're not hopeless. We're hopeful. We're hopeful Billy Beane will trade for a slugger. Right now I'd trade Dotel for Pedro Feliz and Phil Niekro.

Harikkla just got called up yesterday, incidentally.

And don't go mocking on Huston Street. Several fans met him over spring training and were thoroughly impressed by his southern gentlemanly manners. Also, he's got a live arm and a killer split.
