I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

yeah, I rarely get praise via email. Most of teh stuff I have been deleting is crap about meetings from months ago and outdated data that I emailed to people months and months ago.

1) I have a project I already did a powerpoint on. Now I have to do an "executive summary" to hand in. It should be pretty much the powerpoint, made into sentences, right?

yes, but shorter.

2) I just realized I slightly misinterpreted some of my data, but the prof won't know. Can I just stick with the misinterpretation, or is that Just Wrong?

well, if the assignment is to summarize the powerpoint, then summarize with the misinterpreted data. add a footnote if you feel better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Danke, Vortex. I'll make sure the people who would actually use the data know the truth, but not sweat changing it for the prof.

Oh, did I mention the freaky dream I had last night about growing up in decrepit tract housing with a little brother and sister and the actress who played Apollonia on Carnivàle as our mom? There were all sorts of weird guilt-ridden family dynamics going on with more distant relatives (who didn't correspond to any actual relatives) while waiting at a hospital. And rhinoceroses in the back yard.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

and the actress who played Apollonia on Carnivàle as our mom?

To me she'll always be the waitress who wanted to go to France in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

That is a cool dream!

Damn. I'm exhausted. So much for chit chat. I think I need a nap. Also an aspirin. Ow.

Hope everyone's doing well...

For all fans of England, esp. London, a very nifty website I just discovered.

Derelict London

[link]

Some of it's not very picturesque (rotting buildings and dead cars on the banks of the Thames), but the cemetery pictures make great mental images.

Now tagless for your comfort.

connie, that link is awesome. It brings up fond memories of some unknown Englishman shouting, "MIND YOUR BACK!" at us in Brixton before proceding to just barely miss vomiting on Christopher.

That and some Jamaican guy trying to sell my friend some pot on the bridge in Camden.

It's making me want to write stories set in those decrepit places. Oh, look, I have a new series set in London . . .
