I remember 8" floppies! My dad had an "awesome" stock market game on 8" floppies at his office when I was a kid.
I just had my favorite pork rind tacos at La Cabanita. They raised the price on the lunch special by a buck, though. Harumph.
people, I am a clutterbug, but office clutterbugs scare me.
boo hiss on bad Fridays. I just dropped stuff off with a vendor and he was less than pleased that I did not get to hiom until 4pm on Friday. oops. The fault lies with people at my school who kept acting like they would take me and then decided no. They made me take a car service and for some unknown reason I was talkative to a stranger (the driver) - of course this led to him giving me his # and letting me know that I could always call him directly when I need a car. THIS is why strangers are not to be spoken to or looked at.

Evil ex had a lot of 8" disks. I wanted to string them on old cables alternating with 5.25" disks and use them as decoration.

We have a fair number of clocks around here made from old sony optical platters and magneto-optical disks. And they have actual stuff on them, so they are technically historical thingamojigs.
