Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sweetie, I can tell you've looked at the spam faxes in our shared inbox. Why did you decide against deleting them? Most of them are offering shady versions of what our company does for a living.

Oops. I hope you weren't holding on to them. They're gone now.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I think Jean A went to library school in IL. Maybe.

Anyhoo. What's up, tommyrot? Are you visiting my fair city?

What is even happening?

Hasn't it only been one yonk since Knut posted?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

He popped up around the time Hec was in town. On the board and in person.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyhoo. What's up, tommyrot? Are you visiting my fair city?

Yeah, Sat. night. Wanna hang out?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I think Jean A went to library school in IL. Maybe.

No, Jean was the woman involved with the opera company. But you're right that there was someone else from up that way who went to library school at IL.

Bother. Yes I do, but we're throwing Z's birthday bash that night, starting at 9. What time are you coming in to town? Alternately, what time are you leaving and can I take you out to brunch? Or, how do you feel about hanging out with a bunch of wacky theater people?

eta:

Jean was the woman involved with the opera company.

Oh, right. Yes. There was another woman who went to library school who had gone to my college. Right.

I'll pro'lly be getting in 4 or 5-ish on Sat. I'll have to leave Sunday late-morning (or noon at the latest). So brunch could be cool.

Not sure about the party with the wacky theater people - I'll have to see how my other plans go and how social I feel....

Incoming from my gmail account. I could either meet you for an early dinner on Saturday or an early brunch.
