Frank!

JZ, can you do something relaxing and fun? Re-read parts of a beloved book, re-watch an episode of a beloved TV show, preferably with some hot chocolate? This way you may get the rest, without the sleepyness.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Timelies!

Poking my head in to say hi to Nilly (Hi Nilly!) before I have to put on some clothes and run to catch a train....

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

JZ, may your brain stop spinning.

My dream cycle was totally fragmented by an early morning bladder-demand. So the last hour I had this great fragmented dream that was equal parts Veronica Mars, Sin City, Strangers in Paradise (from both the Katchoo and the Francine angle). It was wickedly violent, my little dream.

Also, I'm realizing I bet on the wrong Logan. I forgot the essential rule that Amy at GG does not write men well, at all. Outside of early season Luke, they are all cartoonish, foppish and totally wishy washy in a "love my woman way." So while GG!Early!Logan was snarky and charming, this one has been less so.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I woke up in a migraine haze, and am working out how to a) best deal b) formulate the "will work from home" e-mail to my boss. Those e-mails seem to be once a month now. They don't negatively impact my perfomance, sure beat a sick day, but they still make me self-conscious. I need to manage my medication better, and make sure I have Aleve and Imitrex on me all the time. This is lame.

Here's to hoping your migraine lessens, ita. I'll be by your place on my way to UCLA this evening. Not like stopping by your place, just driving by.

Dreamed X-Filesy dreams. Amazing how terrifying a long hallway with a door at the end can be. But then Hubby says, "What were you dreaming?" and all I can say, "There's was a hallway, just a hallway. And a door."

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hi Aimee, fellow Windstar owner. Not too long ago I compared the Windstar's J.D Powers long term reliability ratings with some other vehicles and discovered the Windstar does very well, the same as the Toyota Minivan, not as good as the Honda, but the same or better than all the other Minivans.

Yay! The only complaint I have about mine is that for some stupid reason, it only unlocks on the driver's door. And since I park on the street, it makes putting Em in the van strange. I have to set her on the sidewalk, walk to my door and unlock it, hit the buttton to unlock the other doors, walk back around, put her in the car and then walk back around to my seat. I don't want to take her on the other side cause that puts us both in the street and it gets quite busy in the morning.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies.

Today is my next-to-last day of classes. I have only one class today. I'll probably be at the department forever, though, because I've got a homework assignment and a final and a presentation to work on, and I really have no idea what's going on with any of them.

I can't even.

Timelies, all. I have had bad gronk, but my cup of tea is dispelling some of the gronk. The fire alarm went off in my building just as I was waking up. I shrugged and got into the shower.

Did anyone catch Christian Amanpour on TDS last night?

Me. Jon is so into her. He was really keen to gush but was being respectful too. It was very cute. He was so "you're a real journalist -- we need you SO MUCH!!".When he guessed where she was going next, you could see her thinking "you play the clown, mister, but I have you pegged." Yeah, very cool segment.

JZ, your imagined Scola-sketch was very appealing. May we all have mornings like that, at least, I aspire to mornings like that (one day).

Migraine-ma to ita.

Need to be productive today. C'mon brain, engage!
