Steph, your BigBoss sounds like a good guy. I do hope he's recovering nicely. And I hope he loves his Flesh Eating Bacteria stuffed microbe. Sounds like he has a good sense of humor about this and it taking it in stride.
We're so behind. I have a new haircut and we're all fed but time to finish the last of the packing and get our assess on the road.
I get to spend time with erika on Sunday! Wheeeeee! /taunty pants
/taunty pants
I read this as taunty parts. It works either way.
Apparently we will get time-and-a-half after all.
Still hate it.
yellowjackets?
As in "yellow jackets, eek!" or "what are these yellow jackets of which you speak?"
Good for you for not freaking out. I know I would have.
Oh, I freaked out on the inside (as my bp revealed), and let enough of my true feelings show through in the form of words I'd rather Annabel not pick up. Knowing my luck, her first reallyo trulyo unmistakable word used properly in context will be "fuck!" or "dammit!"
Baptism By Fire" (which is a bit melodramatic), or -- oh! I know it's stealing from a comic book, but "Phoenix Rising"!!!
See, I tend towards something more understated, myself.
Slightly soiled,
for example, or
Hiding the cracks,
or
Mixed blessings,
or
Undercurrents,
or, oh, I don't know. Something a bit broken and less inspirational.
YMMV.
yellowjackets, eek.
yeah, the bp is not a great thing, but good you were able to keep it together in front of Annabelle. But try not to drop dead internalizing too much!
or -- oh! I know it's stealing from a comic book, but "Phoenix Rising"!!!
I don't get the reference. Now I'm all sad and must go buy comic books.
Hiding the cracks,
I hope this was for me, 'cause I'm loving Hiding the cracks.
I agree with Fay.
Signed,

Ouch, Betsy. FWIW, I made a lot more in overtime when I was eligible than I'm ever likely to make in bonuses. But it still kind of sucks, especially considering that you seem to have one of those "lives" I hear people talk about.
Apparently we will get time-and-a-half after all.
That's something. Some of the managers in my company don't like the exempt people working less than 60 hours a week, and there is no comp time or bonuses.
Generally I don't have to work extra, but there are usually a few 60 - 80 hour weeks with no extra pay.
