Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

If I only had a brain...

Is Amy or Connie around? What's a "Mia Maid"?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I don't want anyone in the bathroom with me when I am puking, not even my very-good-when-a-person-is-sickly BF. I can hold my own hair back, thanks.

Coding and Sleeping

Great, now I'm both having a bad day at work and my wife is pissed at me. It's going to be just a super day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks for all of the well wishes last night. Nephew update: The stubborn little thing pulled off all of his monitors last night. The good news is, he is doing quite well. He is still in surgery, but I guess that they are going to be able to do everything that needs to be done in one surgery, so no repeats of this. Everything is looking good. I am just going to sit here and continue to worry.

Raquel, welcome back! Mal is adorable!

{{{Gud}}}

Sean, health~ma to you and your gf.

What is even happening?

I'm glad it is going well for him, and that he went into surgery well enough to be bothered by and taking off his monitors. How are his folks holding up?

Mostly lurking...

{{{Gud}}} I'm so sorry. You seriously need to be cut a break.

sj, I'm glad he's doing so well.

I am not following my schedule. What that means, so far, is that I've gotten more work done (Yay!), but it also means I'll probably poop out sooner (Boo!). Some days you just can't win.

The whole family is very worried, but also positive that he is going to be fine. I am mostly worried about my older nephew and how he is handling this.

How old is your older nephew, sj? I remember seeing pictures of him when the baby was born, but can't place his age in my brain. It must be scary for him. In addition to worrying about his brother and parents, it's just a rude, early introduction to the idea that kids are vulnerable.
