Timelies, guys! vw, massive congrats - way to be!
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks so much Raquel! I'm so glad you posted. It's reminded me that I wanted to get back and look at your website you posted. I was on my way out the door when I first saw it and didn't have time to look at it.
How is that sweet boy of yours today?
vw, I've decided that if I get through the conference season and the move without killing anyone or quitting my job, I am going to reward myself with an iPod mini. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh good! I'm so glad, Nora! I've always felt a little guilty about teasing you with the delivery of Emily's.
I'm trying to decide where to have mine delivered. If I wait to order it after finals, I can probably just have it shipped here, 'cause I should be home. If I order it earlier, I'll have to ship it to my parents' or something. I don't want to risk having it left on our doorstep.
Raquel, such a beautiful website. And I just love all the updates and pictures.
Thanks, vw - it's definitely a work in progress, content-wise, but I firmly believe image is everything.
I almost got an iPod for my birthday, but then I decided I wouldn't use it since I'm not working. I still have massive techno-lust for them, though.
The baby is hyper-communicative today. He's figured out what faces are, kind of, so he spends hours studying my expressions and then doing things with his face. He can arch one eyebrow!
I think we may be programming him oddly, though - we've been watching an episode of Angel each night during his evening nursing. I'm afraid that some day, years from now, he'll hear the Angel theme song and start suckling.

That makes sense, but bummer! I'm mostly looking forward to having it for the subway. Maybe then people will stop talking to me :) It'll make the trip to school feel even faster, though, which will be nice.

Awwwwww...

Bwah!
A friend of mine sent me this link to a property for sale in Topanga. . . it includes an artist's studio and a horse barn.
The title of her email was "chez Viggo?"

COOL! Neither DH nor I can do this so I don't think O will get this very valuable, non-verbal communication skill.
I also am techno-lusty for an IPod but don't have very much opportunity to use it. Perhaps when the kid's in school and I have things to be doing on my own.

And then they'll be even COOLER! And we'll all be jealous of your new technology when we have the older, less cool technology.
A lovely website, Raquel, with some adorable pictures of your babe.
Much health~ma to sj's nephew!
I'm feeling kinda depressed about the whole job hunt thing I've been doing. Over the past two months I've sent off ~45 resumes/coverletters/applications and not one attempt at even a phone interview. I know that that's not all that long, realistically, but I'm still feeling like I'm putting notes in bottles and sending them over Niagra Falls. Blegh.
