I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

And you know, I can totally understand anyone disliking Israel. Israel invaded Egypt. Israel invaded Lebanon, which is where the lad's family are from. Israel is a very aggressive place, with America on its side, cheerfully supplying it with weapons at the drop of a tear. So, yeah, okay, I do get that they may well have lost friends and family, and that when the lady writes to me that "the Jews are the most cruel people in the world, who torture and murder women and children today" she is quite possibly speaking from personal experience.

Go you, Fay. Hate is what gets us all this death and suffering to begin with.

Even what you've said above isn't so cut and dried. Long before Israel invaded Egypt (with, I think, the cooperation of UK and France), Egypt had an army stationed in Israel, which at one point attacked Tel Aviv. And after that, Egypt and Syria invaded Israel. The horrific invasion of Lebannon was to route out terrorists, but wasn't worth the cost in human lives, nor what it cost Israel in terms of public opinion (sounds like new times with the U.S.). I should shut up, because I mostly think understanding the Middle East is sort of like understanding the Troubles in Northern Ireland, and the doctrine of Trinity--when I think I do, that probably means I don't.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Tom and I went to brunch, forgetting about the Mother's Day rush. Heh.

We're going through a bunch of crap and starting to organize/throw stuff away/put things together for donation.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We did some shopping. DH needed a new suit (he's travelling more on business and needed one). I got some capris and a tank top along with a new suitcase to take to Phoenix next week.

I need new sneakers. The ones I have are 7 years old and give me blisters.

Always Anti-fascist!

And as an American who hates Bush's overprivileged guts. I'd hate to be the recipient of any drop of Egyptian rage that should go to him and his...many Israelis probably don't like Sharon policies either. Right on, Fay.(Also, no matter what, the holocaust was really atrocious. not feeling for those people is a real failing of compassion on that mother's part.)

Bwah! Do you have someone in mind for me to share them with? 'Cause there ain't no one in my life currently. But, if you can quick think of someone, I could still add them to the order.

Whatever happened to "being prepared just in case"?

Um...I guess I don't have much faith in that philosophy anymore. I've been waiting for far too many years now...

vw, my friend here said that, too. She turned 30, decided she'd never find anyone so she bought a house and got two cats. A year later she met her husband.
