I'm not happy with my hairdresser (ask Suela); I have a good vet and doctor. Go with Palo Alto Medical Foundation for doctors, and I can give you a name if you use the REdwood Shores center. For vets, I use Laurel Street Animal Hospital, also in San Carlos.
'Bushwhacked'
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Thanks!
The great thing about PAMF is that (A) it's nonprofit but (B) it's all connected, so that you can be confident that your GP is seeing the same medical record as your specialist. In particular, both of them can look at your entire prescription at a glance. Given that I'm medicated for two different chronic conditions, this is v. nice.
I am drinking a special-formula Diet Coke... with Splenda.
Tastes a little closer to regular Coke than Diet Coke usually does.
ie, cloyingly sweet?
No, closer in taste, not intensity of sweetness.
I expect Coke Zero due out next month will be sweeter.
The Diet Coke with Splenda came in a little 12 ounce bottle that I think is made to replace a can in diameter, but about 2 inches higher.
I love current diet Coke. I like the bite. Mmm, acid burns down the esophagus.
I find that after a straight run of Diet Coke, I get tired of it.
Then I go off and drink other things for a while.
Then suddenly an ice cold Diet Coke calls to me, and it feels and tastes good going down again.
PAMF does sound good, Betsy. I will see if they are in my network. Thanks!
The problem with sleeping in super late today is that now I'm still up...
When I drink diet sodas I go for the orange, grape, root beer varieties.
Happy Mother's Day
The previous wish for a happy day applies to all.
I made a pan of brownies for my mother while she is off at mass. It smells chocolaty here.
Happy Mother's Day!
I saw the cutest thing while walking Toto this morning. A dad and his two sons had gone off to Star Market (the local grocery store) to, I assume, get things to make breakfast for mom. The little one (I'd guess about three), was carrying a "Happy Mother's Day" balloon. The older boy (about 6 or 7 I'd guess) climbed over the railing by the ramp of their building, clearly showing off to his little brother. Then said to the little brother, "I used to do that when I was little."
So. Cute.
I've got to get a good start on my psych paper today. Plus I've got brunch with mom and dad.
