It's a little wonky. A lot better, and a lot higher, than it was last night though which I am thinking is a good thing.
I was feeling very pulse racy last night and so I pulled out the testy machine. Kept checking every few minutes to watch the numbers change.
Though, according to ita's numbers, I shouldn't have even been conscious to see them. It's always skewed low but not 78/40 low, usually 90's/60's low.
It's back to the highish side of normal (for me) right now but I suspect it is because I just got an upseting phone call. I'll retest in ten minutes or so when I calm down. [Edit: Just said I was dead have no pressure at all. Guess that solves that.]
Was that weird feeling yesterday a nearly fainting thing? Ugh, I hated it.
Eat salt, drink lots of liquids -- fainting is a blood volume thing, so get liquids in.
Cass, try to drink a bunch (like, a liter) of water. You might be a little dehydrated--that can cause low blood pressure.
The sense pulse is racing is likely a symptom of the low blood pressure, too; as your pressure falls, the heart beats more quickly to try to compensate.
If you start to feel sweaty, nauseous, and dizzy, go to the emergency room. Those are symptoms of blood pressure that's too low and needs IV fluid treatment.
ETA that ita is wise.
I remember 120 over 80 meant "good" on
Emergency!
when Gage and DeSoto were transmitting back to the hospital.
Not so much wise, more like I just had that speech given me 24 hours ago, after
my
fainting spell.
I even had a salty dinner. It was gross.
Huh. Will do. Funny thing is, I feel like I am all water-retaining and edgy. When I checked my BP last night, I expected it was going to be high or something... I'm going to go drink water and forage for salty snacks.
Thanks, ita. How come you know so much about fainting? I mean the kind that has nothing to do with blunt force trauma, at least.

Oh. Yikes.
Thanks Jen! A liter of water it will be. Don't wanna go emergency, will try to avoid it.
I just blew out another flipflop walking out to the grill in my back yard.
t insert inevitable earworm
No pop-tops to worry about, tho. Minnesota banned detachable ring tops many years ago.
I am drinking a special-formula Diet Coke... with Splenda.
Tastes a little closer to regular Coke than Diet Coke usually does.
Unfortunately my faint will require an MRI, but that's because of random other symptom stuff.
You know, for someone who doesn't generally like shoes and especially shoe shopping, I have a hell of a lot of the things.
