I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Stephanie, I just remembered a great story about your husband- the whole coffee production thing he is/was doing in Iraq. (is that OK to post?) That, with all the other stuff you've mentioned about him, plus the story above, makes me think that he's a really great guy and I can't wait for you guys to be back together.

{Stephanie and DH}} just, 'cause.

Our wings are not tired.

Happy Anniversary Stephanie! How long until you can celebrate together?

Trust my rage

Thanks Nora. You are so sweet! And the coffee stuff is fine to post - I don't mention it much because it feels a bit like self-promotion, even if it's not about me. An artillery round landed outside the coffee trailer last week and blew a hole in the wall. Everyone was fine - the only damage was a few bags of green coffee beans and a John Belushi poster. Other than that, he's still doing the coffee stuff and it seems to be succeeding.

And, he leaves to come home (for 2 weeks) in about 32 days!

brillig

Daniel, someone's probably told you, but Fay's in the capital of Egypt (I don't know how exact she wants people getting). She visits the pyramids regularly, the lucky git. Me, I just want a chance at Stonehenge.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Aw, Stephanie. Joe sounds wonderful. Happy day to you.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Congratulations, Fay! And, yeah, an MA will usually bring some extra bucks over another employee with a BA (even if s/he has a bit more seniority and etc.) in an education field. Your flatmate probably knows this, especially if she's been in the field for a while, and shouldn't be hurt or offended by it.

Happy Anniversary, Stephanie and DH!

Me, I just want a chance at Stonehenge.

I'd like to see the palace ruins at Knossos, m'self. But I certainly wouldn't turn down the Pyramids or Stonehenge. <sigh> So many nifty places to visit, so little time and money.

Up with the sun

Yay for Fay!

Also, hmmph. I updated pictures of my cats to kittenwar, and their supreme cuteness is not being properly appreciated.

Crazy Internet people.

Lyra, all the pictures are adorable, but the 3rd one is my favorite. The 4th one is pretty darn cute too!
