askye, that's wonderful news!
Buffy ,'Beneath You'
Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Of course I just got off the phone with the body shop and it's going to cost me an extra $250 to get my car fixed. But that's okay.
Also, I see my therapist on the 17th -- there's so much to tell her about since I last saw her.
But also roughly 2 years ago she wanted me to do group therapy with EBT (I think that's what it's called ) but I dropped out of group because it wasn't helping. Honestly at the time I was only talking to my parents and people online.
Wait -- make that roughly THREE years ago. Two years ago I was at vo tech school (god time flies).
Anyway I want to try it again since I can actually put it to practical use.
askye, I'm glad things are being managable. Best o'luck.
I'm slacking at work and about to go back in. I spent too much on an lj entry (it's friendslocked, but if you're a buffista and want to read it drop me a note).
Basically it's a Look how far I've come! Post. Next month is June. I'll be 32 and 5 so it started me thinking and basically my post boiled down to this:
Five years ago, where I am right now wasn't even conciveable. I couldn't even imagine the next week.
Five years ago June I was living in an apartment that I really couldnt' afford (parents were paying for it), my life a mess, no job, thinking I was ready to die.
This June I'll be in my own (rented) house. Paid for by my income. Anticipating and savoring life.
Anticipating and savoring life.
That's awesome, askye!
Awww. I can remember back on WorldCrossing, when you were just starting to emerge out into the world, and you chose Stitch's "This is my family. I found it all on my own." as your tagline and wrote an incredibly moving post explaining why.
You just rock out loud, is what.
Anticipating and savoring life.
That's awesome. I'm so proud of you, askye, and I can't wait for the inevitable "house likes carrots" posts.
My dog is half-barking in his sleep and his nose and paws are twitching. He's very cute.
Also, askye that's great news about the car thing - I hope you feel some relief and the good feeling keeps on going.
Did someone mention brownies earlier? I think I have to make some now.
askye, I'd like to read. I'm arliss, you remember? Also, go you on getting a handle on your life, and accomplishing things. I'm proud to know you.
Yay on no sj hurling, and the Cosby definition of nutrition works well in this case. Just--no grapefruit juice with the brownie, please.
and one (gnome) inside on a shelf, because it's more art than lawn ornament -- it was made by a sculptor or some such, and he even signed it, and it was expensive
Tom Clarke? or Rien Poortvliet?
Actually, I gave my small collection of Poortvliet gnomes away...to the same person I gave my small collection of gargoyles.
