Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

All is well that ends in pizza.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Susan, I hope you have fun at the game.

I am watching the Red Sox game with Teacup Guy. The Red Sox are winning, and my boyfriend is the sweetest. I'm feeling a lot better.

Thrive to spite them

I just had the most amazing experience -- I looked out the sliding glass door and saw fireflies -- a bunch of them and finally I went outside.

As much as I want to move, living out here, with the acrage and the woods and lack of light it makes magic. Hundreds of fireflies all through the back, into the woods, flashing and twinkling like a bath full of glitter. It's just so amazing. I don't remember it being like this when I was a kid, but by the time we moved out here I was bit past the age to chase fireflies. Or I wasn't allowed to stay up this late.

But it's beautiful and I wish I could show you all. I can understand why people believe in fairies.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh! I haven't seen fireflies in forever. Shiny.

Yay for sweet boyfriends.

I'm watching basketball. I'm tired. It is unlikely I will hear the clock strike 10 tonight.

Thrive to spite them

Laura-- it seems like there are hundreds of them, it's just amazing. I can especially see them in the dark corners of the property. I wonder if they are concentrated like this because of light pollution in other areas around here.

Now tagless for your comfort.

There's a great firefly scene from Elfquest that I always liked.

That's pretty much what it looks like.

Minus the elf.

Minus the elf.

I read that back in the 7th grade. I was looking at androgynous elf sex way back then. I was born to be a buffista.

I miss fireflies.
