Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yeesh, Cashmere!
We're trying to coordinate a visit home with ExArmy Brother and his wife and son, since they live in CA and haven't met Annabel yet. They're delaying because they're hoping fares will go down. This makes DH and I nervous, because we think they'll go up. I'm also mildly annoyed at SIL because she was saying Annabel and I should stay an extra week or so in Alabama after DH has to go back to work. It's not that it's a bad idea, but I'd already dismissed it because Annabel is a daddy's girl, and I think it'd make her too upset and anxious if we were in an unfamiliar place and her father just up and disappeared on her for that length of time. But SIL has a way of treating me like I'm an amateur at the game of life and need her helpful tips that tends to grate.

They should book now.
I found another decent option for $335--but it's a different airline and I'll be spending at least an hour waiting for DH's flight to come in when we get to Phoenix. At least we're going through the same connecting airports. Still, this will suck if anything happens and flights get cancelled or delayed.
I hate travelling for anything beyond a weekend without Christopher because it's too much like being a single parent. Too much work for one person. And being away from home makes it more stressful--worrying about babyproofing stuff, etc. It's more than my nerves can take, frankly.
Plus, I don't think I'd enjoy flying with just Annabel. I'm already spending an inordinate amount of time thinking about the logistical challenges of taking Annabel on the bus by myself for the first time tomorrow evening because DH is going to the ballpark straight from work and meeting us there, and a plane is three times the gear and ten times the hassle.

WROD. I did it just once for a short flight and I do NOT blame you. I wouldn't do it, either.
Owen is sitting in his play yard singing. I swear. He's going, "Bah Bah Bah Bah" in time to the music on Maisy. It's hilarious.
And possibly made my coat shiny.
I did mean to compliment you in Ohio, brenda. I should really pick up some dog biscuits.
You know. For the dog.
My life is getting just a tad too strange for me right now. I have a lunch date with one co-worker and an actual "date" date after work with another co-worker. Both are set up for this coming Friday.
I think I need a donut.

Awwwww! Owen is so freaking adorable!

Oy. I hate this so much.
Cashmere, how annoying. I hope things go smoothly. As for the sharing, you could always tell Christopher that doctors recommend it as a way to build Owen's immunity system (which they do, though probably not to that extent). I ate dog biscuits too, Brenda. I don't think it helped my coat. Probably the wrong kind.
Yay Anne! home safe is very good.
Good~ma for Betsy.

I keep telling him that I shared with my dog, Rusty, when I was little and I turned out OK. But then I think that might not be the most convincing argument.
I'm more worried about him pulling the cat's tail than eating after the dogs, frankly. My priorities may be skewed.
Leif used to gobble down dry dog food any chance he could get.
Aidan likes cat food.
I'd be more worried about the cat's tail too. Cats retaliate.
Okay, getting to work now. Seriously. I'll catch up again later. Hugs, hairpats and ~ma.
