I'm just waiting to see if I pass out. Long story.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It seems a bit much to me, vw, but may be he considers the revisions part of your portfolio already and he'l lump them all in together?

ION, I have a cold and feel yucky.

IOON, I am going out for Dim Sum today and maybe that will cure me!

All is well that ends in pizza.

VW, place a single page where each revision goes in the portfilio with the words like "Placemarker for paper _______. To be removed when paper is returned by professor ______."

If indeed he can't get your paper back to you, you will at least have something in there to indicate why, and the professor will be semi-gently reminded he really has to keep track of things.

Mostly lurking...

especially if the prof hasn't given any kind of indication of when he'll give them back.

Oh, he's given indication...he just never follows through.

That's not how he explained it at the beginning of the semester, but maybe he's changed his mind on things. It's fine. I'm just a bit panicky about getting everything done before the end of the semester, and this isn't helping. It'll be ok.

I'm not sure I could actually follow through with that. I think what I am going to do, though, is go see him during office hours tomorrow with a list of what I'm missing (and new copies in case he's lost them). Hopefully, he'll be able to take a look at them and get them back to me by the end of the week or so...

What is even happening?

vw, that sounds like a good plan. Speaking only as a former student, I would be frustrated, too. Perhaps there is some way to air your concerns to him, or tell him where the experience has not matched your expectations, and that you like to be able to plan your studies and workload, so that you're not overwhelming yourself. I can certainly understand how a teacher would get behind when he's marking writing (as opposed to just correcting tests), but if you need to revise based on his earlier comments, it seems reasonable to expect to get them back prior to the last week and a half of the semester.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My boss at the theatre ambushed me last night at the wedding and asked if I could work a second show today, and like an idiot, I was all sure, no problem!

Shouldn't it be illegal to hold people to agreements made while intoxicated?

The wedding last night was very fun, and the space was super cool. I'll post pix as soon as I get them. I had mucho champagne, and lost my purse in one place, my keys at another, and my cell phone at yet a third location. I had to hitch a ride home with the bride and groom (they live in the apartment above me) and had to sit on the groom's lap all the way home. Luckily, I have an extra key stashed inside my building.

No cute boy action last night, but I had lots of fun anyway. Now I have to wait for my keys and phone to arrive, and then I have to work at 1:30. 2 shows. Bleargh.

And then I'm subbing tomorrow. Joy,

Your tag here.

I'm trying to figure out what the distinction between Natter and Bitches is. The headers aren't helping (and no, I'm not going to suggest a revision AGAIN).

Is Natter basically edited-for-tv-Bitches?

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Eddie, Eddie, Eddie. Don't say that. We are unique. Trust me.

And happy birthday.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

Add his name to the dictionary!

But now how will she know when she's misspelled 'cuddles'?

I had a rather detailed dream about browsing through photo albums in a bookstore and realizing they had some with my pictures on the cover, and various of my pictures inside. Turned out they had done a random selection from my online photo albums. Which is pretty weird given that other people could buy them, but seemed like it was going to neatly solve the issue of making a wedding album for my mother.

Went to a nice party last night. Did some crafts. Drank on an empty stomach (eugh). Realized that I'm not only out of touch but a little uncomfortable with flirting, alas. Also, someone told me that the T-shirt I was wearing (from college!) was older than some of his high school students. True, but a little disheartening.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ahahaha. Hey, Eddie. Happy birthday.

Bitches is generally more personal, I think. Natter can be just as uncensored, but it covers a wider variety of topics. Not that our topics here are narrow.

Topics here have included sex, kittens, sex kittens, children, babies, work, parents, corsets, shoes...it's rather girly. Sometimes. Except when people start talking about fucking baseball.

What is even happening?

Natter is our coffee shop. Bitches is our slumber party. Or maybe not. Okay. It is an atmosphere thing. Natter is like a big party, and Bitches is more like an after-party. Or maybe not. Okay. Natter is where Buffistas get together to talk about anything. Bitches is where Buffistas get together to talk about everything. Or maybe not. Natter is Natter, and Bitches is Bitches. Definitely. Yes. That.
