He hates PJ's movies. When Royd Tolkien gave an interview after FotR where he expressed his admiration for the films, Christopher disowned him - wrote him out of the will. PJ gave Simon a bit-part in RotK as a Ranger of the North, kind of as compensation.
It's my personal opinion that Christopher is extremely bitter that his legacy will be as keeper of his father's notes, not an accomplished (and beloved) author, like his father. Ah, well.
Goofball.
Oh, my phone is all better!
I am still cell-less.

Yay Trudy! How's Dallas? Did she survive?
Can I just bitch for a second here?
I really hate passive-aggressive bullshit. I just got an email from my BIL--who lives with my MIL at age 33, mind you--saying that the MIL would really like to hear from us.
Um. Yes. Then perhaps she should PICK UP A PHONE. Feh. Do not make your son email your DIL to get HER to call YOU.

Thanks for Cat~ma! So far nothing definitive, but for now Harvey is not getting worse.
My department wanted to give New Line the only existing footage of Tolkien reading LotR on film for the DVDs, and Christopher wouldn't release the rights. Jackass.
Tru Calling was much more entertaining than I remember.
Plus, there's been a hint that
her brother might become the sort of whatever it is that Jack and her dad
are. Which would also be interesting.
