I was mocked for my amazement at the sidewalks. But seriously, in Detroit, I had to walk like 40 gates to get a smoke (which I REALLY needed after my first flight.) So, I start walking, and realize at some point that people next to me aren't walking, they're gliding. I see the sidewalks and am all "Hells yes!". On the way back, I found a monorail that was even faster than that.

Also, I am fantastically jealous of my ex's apartment, view, and ginormous bathtub. I covets it for me own, I does.

So, I went back to the insurance place to have them take a picture. The insurance lady's response to my car "OHSHIT!"

Yeah, the damage is more extensive than I'd like to admit. Infact my brain is playing tricks on me, I see the car, I see the damage but it's not quite registering...my brain is rejecting the data my eyes are sending and trying to use a nicer image.

However bad my car looks it's totally drivable, which I think is a big plus. Not that I really want to be driving it like this, but I don't have to make a trip to the mechanic.

In a minute I'm going to call the body shop and see when I can take it in. I want to get it in today, but there's no one to take me back home (And I don't think they offer that service). It's close enough (under 2 miles) that I'd consider walking back. Maybe.

I do have a question -- if the person I hit has uninsured motorist coverage, what does that mean for me? I still can't find the paper work so I also have to call teh police station and get the information for the woman's insurance so I can contact them.
