[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm looking at Flylady.net for the first time. Dear lord, she does like her exclamation points, doesn't she?

Also, it seems that today is Anti-Procrastination Day. (And if that's not a straight line, I don't know what is.)

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

flylady.net - we talked about her website before, but I was looking at my sink this am ( which DH scrubed last night) and started thinking about her idea of "always shine the sink first thing" . her website might have good ideas if you were a sham. or worked part time.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, it seems that today is Anti-Procrastination Day.

Eh, I'll observe it next year.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Betsy beats me to it.

-t, I'm pretty lucky. 5 years ago, when I first worked for this client in the office, we were supposed to report if we heard babies in the background when working with freelancers (which I never did since I knew they worked at home and so did they so what's the big deal?)--if it happened twice, he wouldn't work with that freelancer again because he thought it was unprofessional. Now he's loosened up enough to make jokes while I change a dirty diaper and he likes saying hi to Kara now and again.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I thought the flylady said to shine the sink last thing before you go to bed so that it's all nice and clean in the morning.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Does it count that I put on shoes first thing this morning (to take the dog out and get coffee) but did not in fact take off my pajamas to do so?

I knew that this time do to my birthday and the ton of money spent on drugs to make me better that there was a better than even chance that it would have to go back into the checking acount. I was correct.

Ugh. I am so broke right now and hanging on by my fingernails to avoid either dipping in to the secondary account or using credit. (OK, I used my credit card for lunch today, but that was because all my cash turned out to be in the pocket of my pjs [see above].

she might have, which means once again I have to turn in my library card because I have forgotten how to read.

She owns both -- Google just gave me the .net version first.

[OMG I loathe this website. It hurts my eyes. Why can't I stop reading?]

[eta again: Her instructions for cleaning the sink seem rather...intense to me. I just scrub away the schmutz with a regular sponge after I do the dishes, and it seems shiny enough for me. Do I need to re-evaluate my standards for sink-shine?]

not broke - just every time there is somethign contrary to the way I want things to go moneywise, even when expected I have to reconvince my self that we are not broke. It is really stupid.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Then she said, "Actually I'm a lurker who supports you in email."

We love her.

Everybody's clear that the person I identified as "Dee" = d., right?

Welcome baby Isaac! Congratulations to the family Burrell.

I'm sorry about the news, Cindy.
