I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Even when it's expected, it's wrenching.

Or, to quote Tara "It's always sudden."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, Cindy. I'm so sorry.

It really is always sudden.

I remember when my great grandmoth died - she was 98, she'd had Alzheimer's for several years and had been bedridden for quite sometime. It can't have been anything but a blessed release for her, and we had lost her longbefore. Still, it was a sad sad time.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

What is even happening?

Thanks, everyone. I think this is one of those deaths that hits the little girl inside of me. I've known these people all my life. My folks were at their house 'til midnight, the night before I was born. They live across the street from my mother. They were great friends with my parents. Their daughters babysat me, and had me over to look at their 45s (that's a kind of record for you kids), and all their teenager stuff. His wife taught me how to knit, and would have me over when she had a big canning day, every Fall. When I think of my neighborhood, that's who I think of.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?
