Our wings are not tired.

LAistas can say better, but my recollection of Burrell from my LA visits is tall and slender. If my recollection is faulty that is because she left me with that impression.

Laura, I think you're correct with that. That's how I remember her too.

Poptarts:

I'm going to have a crazy day today at school. First I have class. Then I have my two-hour break. Only, during my break today I have an appointment with my English adviser (it's important to note the department of the adviser, because I now have FOUR advisors. Isn't that crazy?! Before each semester I have to visit with four different advisors to have my hold lifted to register. Craziness!). Then I have to stop by Student Employment to find out what I need to do before I can get an on-campus job. Then it's off to CCDE (continuing ed) to try to register for summer classes and figure out what they need from Mass Rehab before I'm allowed to do that. Then I've got two more classes. Crazy, crazy day ahead of me.

Welcome, Isaac! May the Buffistas continue to sprog. United, we will take over the world.

Yeah, right. When are we ever united? Concensed, maybe; united? Ehn.

Off to work!

Trust my rage

Welcome Isaac and congratulations to his parents and sister!

So I paid the lawn guy yesterday with a check. Today he calls me and tells me that because it's an out-of-town bank, he can't cash it. WTF? Why would that be? I'm thinking maybe he doesn't have a bank account, but I'm also pissed off because I felt like I was doing him a favor paying him that much anyway and now he wants me to go to an ATM and get cash.

Stephanie, really, that all sounds highly suspicious. Has he done the work yet? If not, I'd be looking for another landscaper.

Yeah, he finished yesterday, but I won't be hiring him again. I'm happy my lawn looks the way I want, but the whole experience was irritating and unsettling.

Stephanie, there's a short quote from a book in this week's Time magazine about buying strollers and I'm trying to find it. It cracked me up yesterday.
