Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Where's the Empress? Steve Irwin is going after wild camels on my tv right now. Apparently Australia has huge populations all throughout the interior.

eta: Heh. He's leaning out the window of a pick-up with a lasso, and his wife drove too close to a tree and knocked him right out of the car. And didn't notice - kept right on going after the camels.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Deena, I dreamt I met your kids

ita, come visit. They'd LOVE you. Aidan would be fascinated, Kara would try to act just like you and Nick would be in seventh heaven. You could kick all his friends' asses.

I had instant coffee. I'm out of the real stuff. It worked, though, well enough.

Mostly lurking...

Robin, that would be wonderful if you could train your dog to be a therapy dog. My cousin and her son trained their dog, and they just love it.

Did I tell y'all about Franny asking for pancakes for breakfast the other day? I was so proud of her

So cute!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Apparently, we are playing babysitter to my roomie's two nephews for the next 24 hours! They're even sleeping over! I wish I'd known!

shudder

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

How old are they, Lilty? Generally speaking, I think that roommates need to be consulted if anyone under voting age is going to be spending the night.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Liltyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

3 and 5, I believe.

It was surreal. I was just sitting on the couch with my comfy throw, drinking my coffee, when the parents come into my nice clean apartment with armfuls and armfuls of stuff. I just didn't understand what was happening. It wasn't until they started to leave, and the older one started to cry, and they said "It will be ok to sleep over here, don't be scared!", that I finally figured out what was going on.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

3 and 5? There definitely should have been some conversation about that beforehand.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I want to be there if ita ever really meets Deena's kids.

ita and Tom Scola were in my dream last night, but I don't remember much else about it.

Franny eating pancakes is really cute, especially when she wants to share them with Daddy.

I'm with Burrell [and Ginger]. She should have asked you, Lilty.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

P-C!!!

Ok, at least I feel validated. Now I just have to make sure not to swear, drink, smoke, or watch anything I'd normally watch on tv. Oh, or let them see into my room. Or be here at all.

Dude, I am the devil.
