[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

eta: So, Hec, what flavor(s) gelato did you end up with?

I got to the gelato counter fully intending to try Teppy's recommendations of ginger gelato or the bourbon-vanilla. But my tongue remembered the incredibly addictive pink grapefruit with campari sorbet so that's what I got. Apparently I wanted something that was cool and bracing and brisk and sweet/tangy more than rich and luscious. But it was so so good.

Also, I am recaffeinated.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Good Date update:

He just called and insisted I talk to him about the crap few days I've had (suicidal friend, crackhead cousin having her baby, memorial service for a friend's mom this morning). We'd talked earlier today to confirm plans for tonight and I'd said I'd had a few stressful days but it was too long to get into on the phone; he said OK but then called me back a few hours later and said he really wanted to hear what was going on.

And he was a good listener and had good advice and expressed just the right amount of worry.

Did I mention I was doomed?

If I only had a brain...

You are so doomed, but in a good way.

But my tongue remembered the incredibly addictive pink grapefruit with campari sorbet so that's what I got.

My husband loves this so much he worked out his own recipe, and we always have it in the freezer.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Betsy, I know your husband doesn't actually believe in God, but every time I learn something new about him I become more and more convinced that this may well be because he is himself a god.

Happy birthday, by the way!

Taunter!

I got a call mid-morning asking if I could do some html work today. I changed my plans and said I would be ready at noon. Guess who's still waiting to get materials and direction... But I did reinstall some software on my computer. It's not much of a silver lining but it is technically metalic.
