Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bwah!

I called the prescription people again. I found out that I can get 3 months of the generic "no estrogen" pill for $20. The generic name for the pill with NO estrogen?

Camilla.

:::dies laughing:::

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Damn.

I just missed getting to the phone in time for a call that caller ID informed me was from the 509 area code. Eastern Washington. For a few minutes there I was all excited because I remembered the contest coordinator I'm hoping to hear from is in WA somewhere.

Then I remembered we'd swapped emails a few months ago, so I went back and checked to see if she'd mentioned her hometown.

She did.

She's in Kent.

Kent is not in Eastern Washington. It's a Seattle suburb.

Damn.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

well, shit. looks like we are buying a house. The sellers accepted all our terms and we sign the P&S tomorrow morning.

ION, we decided to take a low-impact break from our get home-cook-eat-clean-sleep routine, and went out for yummy cheap Mexican food - I had grilled cilantro marinated chicken! And what is called a Mexipolitan. A cosmo with very nice, very smoove tequila. This place (Rudy's for those who know it) has a great selection of fine tequilas and I really want to go someday and taste a bunch of them. The Mexipolitan is quite mock-worthy, but I liked it, it was simple, was more tequila than margarita mix, and delicious.

Then we walked down to Davis Square and went to one of the hipster coffee shops and had a lovely after dinner coffee beverage, walked around a little more, then went back to our car and drove home. It was just very nice taking a low cost, low stress break in the routine.

It was a lovely evening, too, weather-wise.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sounds awesome, Nora! Yay!

Am I the only one that thinks cilantro tastes like dish soap?

DUDE! New Crate & Barrel store opened up five minutes from my house. I'm so screwed.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

The BF just got home from having coffee with an old friend who just got engaged. Interestingly enough, she was at an all-women poker night the other night and five of the ten women in their late 30s-40s who were there were also engaged. ALL of them, including our friend, met their fiancees through online dating. Interesting, eh?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

makes note to try online dating.

I've skipped and skimmed about 300 messages. Anything of note happen?

Mom and I have worked for two solid days packing (hence the need to skip and skim), and we're almost done. Gronk.
