Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Sigh... It's funny even though it is sadly true...
Well, I am only able to keep track because I'm in the top ten.
And actually given the stupid (which I just posted about) and the ensuing stress, I might take an Ambien now so I should only be around for a half hour or so... Because tonight? Well now I need to sleep so I can be alert in the morning.
Oh, that was the stupid? I though that was fresh stupid. I was too stupid to realize that was the stupid. Don't be so hard on yourself. Who puts their home number on these things? Besides, it will make a great, "How I got hired story," in the future.
Take the pretty pill, and sleep the sleep of the just, Cass.
Lilybean? Plei, that's too cute. How often is she eating? Are you healing well, and managing to sneak in naps, and all that?
She eats a lot in the evenings, not as much in the mornings--when her blood sugar is low, she snoozes, and it's hard to wake her for feeding. This means that we *do* get plenty of rest, but that she goes longer than she ought to between feedings at night. (In theory, I should wake her up at 4am to feed her this morning. Hrrm. Feh.) When she was inside, I could just slam a glass of juice and she'd wake up. Somewhat harder with her outside.
I'm healing well. Unfortunately, the joint pain side effect of my MMR shot kicked in this afternoon, so I've been stiff and achy with a side of cranky as a result.
You'd be living the life of Riley, without actual Riley.
So does that mean I can live the life with Spike instead? Mmmm, cheekbones.
Yeah, that was the stupid...
Her home (or, far more likely, cell) number was in the email likely because I know her, or knew her when she worked at another company. She started her own company and I ran into her a couple years ago. This was out of the blue but not totally blind.
So it showed interest right? Cause I don't want to have to backpeddle stupidity out of the gate. I mean, it's been a couple of years since I ran into her and a couple before since she was finding me assignments, there must have been something specifically *me* that made her send me the email...
I also took the pill. I figured I will be calmer and then actually sleepy sometime soon.
Six hours and coffee? Yeah, you're up...
When she was inside, I could just slam a glass of juice and she'd wake up.
t smiling now
And I gots a pretty, though valueless, number. And I am clause's bitch tonight it seems.

Did you just get re-inoculated, or is this a chronic thing? You poor kid. Nobody needs to be achy and stiff so soon after delivering a baby.

Has she regained her birthweight yet? I don't expect you'll be a nervous mother, but still feel I should add that if she hasn't it's totally okay--very early for that, actually. I'm just being nosy.
Chris and Julia were snoozy in the morning, which soon turned into great sleeping at night. May it be so for you.
Assuming your milk supply is well established enough, and unless your doctor really wants her to go no longer than 4 hours, I wouldn't worry about waking her until it had been six hours, if it's just that one feeding she's inclined to delay, and since it sounds like she's making up for it, otherwise.

a) Yeah (eta that is, you can have Spike)
b) I don't even look for stupid until after 9:00am, frankly. Besides, I caught part of FX's airing of
Intervention
yesterday, so I'm remembering when I had whole other hopes for the B/S storyline.
I am hoping that she won't mind that I called her just before 2 a.m. to tell her that, of course, I wanted to talk to her. I suspect it will be actually. I just feel like a dolt for calling in the first place.
I think it is something I'd laugh about, particularly if you explained you thought you'd reach an office, with voice mail, not a private number.

I got re-jabbed, as my immunity was gone. Le sigh.

Nah, but on Tuesday, she was up a couple ounces from Saturday, so she's gaining.

It's all morning feedings she's inclined to delay. The doctor said no more than four, and my boobs agree with that. I think we went five or six last night. Ouch.
I am over the mortification (thanks Cindy cause without admiting and talking about it tonight, I might have just been all obsessive thinking all night) and I suspect she will think it is actually amusing.
Feeling sleepy now. 'Night all.
Yay for expanding Tickybox! I hope you get some rest soon.

There you go. There's no sense arguing with doctors and boobs. I'd never thought about it being a low blood sugar period that made them all sleepyheadish.

Atta girl! I think Ben took longest, and of course, that's when I was most worried that I was going to do something (or forget to do something) that would cause him great harm. I was much more relaxed with Julia and Chris.
