Living with Tom is a lot different than lviing wth roommates. I thought, actually, I'd have trouble, due to my previous aversion of roommates, but it worked out surprisingly well.
It helps that he does my bidding.
Doesn't it always?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Lily is so beautiful.
{{{Connie, Calli & vw}}} for you various reasons.
D.Griswold -- oh! The people on the internets were nasty about Rory. Well, not on the internets that I go read and post about GG. (I avoid TWOP forums.)
Meanwhile, we all KNEW that Rory wouldn't be able to just blithely hangout and have sex with Logan, right? Even though she thought she could.
Sigh.
It can work. My Aunt lived in a nice apartment with three other women for 10 years. They each had their own bedroom, One was a widow and the other two were divorcees and they were all in their 50s when they moved in with each other. It allowed my Aunt to save money (she was a high school teacher in Evanston) to build her retirement house. All three women are still friends.
BF is easy to live with, and he can reach things on high shelves, which is a plus.
I know, Frank, I'm so sorry! It just seemed like one thing after another this weekend. (When it wasn't this, it was work- my boss seems to be on the verge of some sort of breakdown, and I've just had "Things fall apart when the center cannot hold" playing on a loop in my head.)
Vacation. One week. I can make it.
Now, I slack alone.
You're not slacking. You are creating a life that may be different from your circle of friends, but that is not slacking. Being single and not having children does not equate slacking or failure. (Sorry, just one of my buttons.)
Not even the people (I lived with my best friend and then my cousin) but just the sharing of space. I became SO intolerant of that once I hit 28-29. That might be me though.
Not just you. I finally got my own place at 30 and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
sending out the ma to the Heather family
and some general ma~~
DH sadly does not always do things my way, but he is cute and that seems to make up for it.

Yes. You. Can.
My DH has just put the kibosh on our long weekend together. We were spending a few extra days in a bed & breakfast after his triathlon, and he's now decided he really has to be back for a meeting. Pfft. I've been working 6 and 7 day weeks, so I was really looking forward to being far enough away from the office that I couldn't consider spending a few hours here getting some work done.

I know, slacking was probably the wrong word. Maybe it's just that everyone else has taken the next step, whatever it ends up being, and I haven't just yet.
On the other hand, if anything is a sign from the Universe, this is probably it. This will make me get off my ass!

I didn't have any sharing space issues with the DH's, but the kids brought out this aspect for me. They break my stuff!!! It is no doubt wrongheaded of me to let it bug so much, but it makes me nuts when my stuff gets wrecked. Hey, I don't trash their toys.
{{Heather and Mr. Heather and family}} May he find all well and return home soon reassured.
