Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Do we not actually know who it is yet? I turned on NPR briefly and someone was talking about Ratzinger, so I assumed it was him and turned it off because it was one of those annoying interviews where there's more of the studio guy and the on-site guy trying to understand each other than actual content.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Susan, have you seen "Fever Pitch", yet?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Me too, but I bet it's Ratzinger.

Which will do nothing for me but reestablish my lack of faith in the church- and pretty much organized religion in general. If they'd chosen either of my two, I'd still be nonreligious, but at least I'd feel like me and the church were reading the same plot even if we weren't on the same page.

What is even happening?

Ratzinger, who will be Benedict XVI

If I only had a brain...

Benedict. Benedictine is the adjective (and also the alcohol.)

Nope. We haven't seen a movie in the theater since National Treasure over Thanksgiving. Thanks to Annabel's mellow nature, I get to do more normal life stuff like write and go to baseball games than many mothers, but movies are kinda tough still.

There was a line in it that totally made me think of you. They refered to a Player to be named later.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

::somewhat dissapointed, as Benedictine rhymes with sixteen::

FWIW, maybe sooner -- he is in his 70s.
