Well, er, as a very proud mommy, I have to admit that the odds are in our favor.

Most babies--and most toddlers too--fall somewhere along the Cute to Adorable end of the spectrum. Oh sure, there are some ugly babies (many of whom grow into cute toddlers and attractive adults later), but the bulk start out cute and just get cuter. Franny's daycare is like cuteness overload.

In the spirit of complete disclosure, Mal does in fact have the least cute hands and feet I've ever seen on a baby. They are HUGE! Are babies like puppies and kittens, where you can tell how big they'll be by the size of their paws?

Also, he's substantially less cute at 4:00 am, when I get exactly one bark of warning to get into the nursery with the food before he melts down.

In other news, I miss you guys SO MUCH!
