No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

vw, I'm sorry things didn't go well. I agree that you should buy the pizza and be kind to yourself.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

He's got his hands on either side of the "glass" and he's rocking back and forth. Slowly. He closes his eyes on the--well, we'll cut to the chase--thrust, then he leans back and opens his eyes. His mouth is open in what's suppose to be a grimace of terror, I think. The white stuff piled on top of his head does not help the image. He just keeps rocking and grimacing.

OH my GOD, it's on the side of TWOP recaps too. I just do NOT get it at all and am amused/repulsed.

vw. Sit down. Eat something. Breathe. Call your therapist. Put yourself first. Breathe again. Please.

Always Anti-fascist!

That's why I've taken a research break on the Opus. On top of everything else, I don't need to know about the symbolism of a slit throat right now.(It's sexual, if you're wondering...major sign of a crime committed upon an intimate.) Ok, after that I'll be about the Positive today.

erika, out of curiosity, if someone is killing someone else with a knife and they *aren't* intimate, how is it usually done? Stabbing doesn't exactly strike me as distanced and objective.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

of a slit throat right now.(It's sexual, if you're wondering...major sign of a crime committed upon an intimate.)

Huh. I didn't know that. But I grew up in South Florida where "Cuban Neckties" were common during the 70s drug wars with the Colombians. That is, they'd cut the throat and pull the tongue out through the slit. And that isn't even the nastiest thing those guys did. They used to count off the vertabrae (between 4 and 5? Or was it 5 and 6?).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

So, late Saturday night in Cleveland I was bitching about being stricken with allergies for the first time, and how I might have said unkind things in the past to more illness-prone family members who I therefore suspected might be less than sympathetic.

So I'm on the phone with my sister a few minutes ago:

"You sound sick, are you sick?"

"Well, I'm kind of congested."

"HAHAHAHA! OMG, that's so cool! You never get sick!

[pause]

"I mean, I hope you feel better..."
