Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Trudes! That is of the suck. BUY A CELL PHONE, SILLY! It's going to end up being cheaper and then people who are trying to get ahold of you will be able to with more ease!

Ehm. Not that I have felt that frustration or anything.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'm in an internet joint on the corner trying to not cry. And I'm dreading a little being at home without a phone-- I realize that's a bit childish

You should! I would be very jealous of you, but you should.

ETA: Sillypants. You live in Manhattan. Walk into one of the millions of cell phone places and get a cheap plan--it will come with a phone. You can buy a better one later. You shouldn't go home freaked out.

Oh, Trudy! That's awful. I'm so sorry!

Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I still haven't decided what to do about the movie. I may e-mail the prof, though, and see what she would suggest as an alternate assignment, then decide. Also, I could always start watching it on Monday (we're watching it during two class periods), and if I have to leave, then I'll do the alternate assignment. That way at least I will have tried.

Oh, and I feel the need to ammend (is that the right word? Did I spell it right?) my previous post. The test that I didn't do as well as I would have liked to on? I got a 94. It's still an A. I'm just frustrated, because I felt like I aced it. I'm not sure what I got wrong, and that is really bothering me.

See, I tried that. But I have no idea if $35 a month with a free phone with a two year contract is good or shit. Does sprint suck? I can barely do these things WITH research

vw-- do you have the option of watching it not in class and fast-forwarding if you get skeeved? then you could participate in the discussion?

Trudy, I don't know how Sprint is...but $35 a month with a free phone and 2-year contract is a pretty standard plan.

And I don't know about that option. I should ask her. Mostly, I'm freaked out about being triggered and having flashbacks in class. That would be embarrassing on top of painful.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Trudy, you can always start with a pre-paid and see what kind of minutes you'll need. You can then sort out a decent plan that meets your needs while still having a phone.

I'm pissed at your landlord on you behalf. And it's not silly to be worried. Phones give one a sense of security--of being able to reach someone when they need it.

It makes sense to skip it vw, if having flashbacks at ALL are a bad idea, you know? Or is it ok at home with the roomies? (I honestly don't know)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I had Sprint for a long time - it was fine. I'd double check with someone in Manhattan, though, and see what they think of their coverage. I had no problems in DC but more frequent dropped calls in Chicago.
