I got stupid. The money was too good.

but since my entire grade is this test, I'm starting early.

EEK! I'd be starting early too!

Trust my rage

My first year of law school, I was a nervous wreck before finals. I felt nauseaous and couldn't sleep during the entire week between the end of class and my first final.

Now, I still really want to do well (perfectionist that I am), but I do have this new little voice in the back of my head that says "Who cares about grades...babies are so much more fun!" I'm trying hard to ignore the voice.

Back to the books for real this time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Whenever people would criticize my mom for her housekeeping (or lack thereof), she would respond with, "The dust will always be there; my kids won't." I love that.

One of my mother's favorite stories was the neighbor who announced, voice dripping with scorn, "you know, if you didn't travel so much, you could afford a decent dining room table."

Priorities, people.

Our wings are not tired.

Back 20 years ago I had intended to go to law school. Took the LSAT, got the applications and catalogs. Then I decided to open my business instead after graduation. Just this week I was looking at some of the graduate programs at the local universities. Brendon looked at me like I was crazy, but I liked school. I was a stressed freak about my grades. (3.86 for my BS, yo!) I'm considering this. I have a new assistant at work so that is some time relief. This would be totally for personal enrichment. I like the learning environment, and the initials, and the discipline. Of course that would probably eliminate my on line time!

Good luck Stephanie! It sounds like you are going to be well prepared. Both for the test, and the bigger baby test.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Ticky Ticky Ticky Ticky!

Curry Curry Curry Curry!

Ahem, which means that I am SO HAPPY that the Tickybox family are home from the hospital safe and sleep-deprived (except HRH herself, I expect).

Also, I am having Indian food for lunch today which is a direct result from the curry discussion of the other day.

It's a reward for working 14 hours yesterday and being back at work this morning!

Ooh, we have our inspection today at 3:30. and appropriate ~ma would be appreciated.

OK, I need to do work now.

I actually loved Wills Trusts & Estates in law school. The prof was in his 90's, only taught on Saturday morning at 8 a.m., and was incredibly cool. Still, I'd ask a friend to wake me up when he got to talking about what was happening in the current century, because his lectures usually began with the Middle Ages. Good Luck, Stephanie -- it will be fine.

Yipee for the good night's sleep, vw!

Erin's couch of sin sounds like fun.

Inspection ~ma to Nora.

The DH's college roommate is asleep with wife and child in our living room. The DH got up at 6 a.m. to go for a training bike and run for the triathlon at the end of the month. I would normally be on my way to the office to work on a big project that has kept me busy at least 6 days a week for the past 4 months, but I am seriously considering taking the whole weekend off -- it seems so decadent these days.

Hurrah for the Tickybox Family, home together!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yay for Decadence!

Perkins! For two whole days I've actually felt like I can wrap this thing up in a week. It's unprecedented. Usually a mood swing has struck me down by now. Hopefully, this debacle won't scare you off the project.
