vw: I am so proud of you. You amaze me every day with your strength, kindness, humor, intelligence, and compassion. You rock, girlie!
Happy (belated) birthday, Owen! He's a cutie! And a toddling cutie at that!
Yay to the Miracleborns on their new wheels!
My brain has shut down. But, my taxes are done and e-filed. I did not, however, get any homework done tonight which is not good. It's the last few weeks of class and I have a shitload due over the next couple of weeks. Oh well...I can only do so much. It's 12:45 and I've been working on my taxes since 8. I did homework till 2:00 am yesterday. I will now go to bed.
Woo hoo Nora & Tom on the homebuying!
Congrats Aimee on the new minivan.
Happy Birthday (isH) Owen!
vw - I think you've done amazingly well through everything you've gone through.
Pleides -- did you catch the Wood on Saturday?!!??
Pleides -- did you catch the Wood on Saturday?!!??
Nope! No cable, and I'm still in my lalalala not watching state with racing.
This, I should note, does not stop me from going to my usual sites and READING about it.
I need to make plans for the 4th of July soon. Yay!
Cashmere, what great pictures! Your boy is not only a toddler, he's already got the keys!--two sets, in fact. Look out, momma. I love the cake photos! The boy has a gusto for life. The few sad, abandoned green beans off to the side of the highchair tray cracked me up.
I remember Ben having his birthday cake. We lived in an apartment then, and Scott's sister, and her husband and kids lived upstairs. Their 2nd daughter was only 17 days younger than Ben, so we did a joint party, in our apartment. We had them next to each other, in their highchairs, in our dining room, and had the whole fam damily there.
Ben wouldn't use the spoon for his ice cream, but really wanted the ice cream. He'd grab a fist full of it, scream because it was cold, cry until he got it into his mouth, then smile through the tears. Over and over and over.
Meanwhile, my niece Hannah had a horrible cold, and some funky stuff was going on with her nose. People started laughing, which startled Ben, and made him cry, which made my niece cry. Those poor babies. It was such a trying birthday party for them.
...
Aimee, congrats on the mini-van. Owning one sucks out less of the soul than I'd imagined. Also? It is kind of cool to be up high, while driving. After six and a half years with the mini-van, if I have to drive the other car, I feel like I'm driving a go-cart, although it *is* a Toyota Corolla, so I guess I sort of am.
I have to head back upstream, because I missed the links to the pics of Nora and Tom's place, in all the cakey baby goodness.
Timelies.
This morning, Sesame Street has been about the telephone. Aidan's been walking around going, "ring, ring!" He lost interest when he found the magna doodle. Now he's drawing shapes (not quite correctly) and saying, "twiango, sue-cul, squay". Though, I suppose the shapes he's drawing might fit those names since they're a little deformed for the proper pronunciation.
Kristin, FYI, I didn't get around to watching EYES this weekend. Hopefully during the week, because this weekend could be very busy.
