Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah...I could send Obama love letters. Make a nice change. My people are from there, actually.(including a great-aunt that is straight-up surprised that the Maafia are in the gambling riverboat business. My"really? Cool." was not the intended response, but she didn't know about the Thing thing.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

the old "in jury duty all day long" scam.

more like, rustling up counteroffers all day long. 4:30, find out there's another offer in. FUCK. we go up to our max and see how it will work out. At this point, the anxiety is gone, we have no more room to wiggle, they'll either take it or they won't.

I'm trying hard to get the bad taste out of my mouth, of feeling bamboozled, but hey, it's the game, and we played too. we could have taken their counteroffer last night.

I asked my buyer's agent this, and she seemed kind of taken aback and squirmy about it, but is it illegal for sellers to make up other phantom buyers? Or just highly unethical? or just, "eh, it happens"?

Quick, someone tell me how pretty the house is! [link]

Coding and Sleeping

It's the other one that's being built on the truck frame.

The Forrester is built on the Impreza platform, which is Subaru's small car platform. The Outback is built on the Legend platform, which is Subaru's midsize car platform. They have a new SUV called the Tribeca that is much larger and can seat seven, but it still is a unibody not a frame and body like a truck.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

If I'm recalling my mother's real estate courses correctly, phantom buyers are illegal as well as being unethical.

But this information is at least fifteen years old, and in California, to boot.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have an Element this week for the BF to review (for About.com Go! Read!). He just picked it up this morning. We had last year's model, which we both liked so much that we decided it's our next car (in the mythical "we actually have some money" future).
