And we live to fight another day.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Sorry to scare off the childless with the labor talk.

Plei, don't worry about the ped. If you don't have one picked out, the hospital will undoubtedly have one on call so your precious ticky box will get a proper exam on her first day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm not scared off. I am just skimming lightly so the stories don't talk me out of eventually wanting kids.

Morning came to fast.

My living room is still beautiful, though.

I'm just gonna talk to myself for a while...

Looks like I might be officially crazy. I'm looking at planning another family reunion. Now, before you all jump and me and remind me of the stress the last one caused me, let me tell you a couple of things. I'm in a better place now. I'm going to ask my SIL to help plan. I know a lot more about how to work with my extended family now, and we'll probably handle a lot of the details similarly to last time, so there won't be quite as much negotiating.

I had told the family that I wouldn't plan another reunion. But, last week my uncle fell and broke his hip (he had surgery yesterday, and for the most part is doing well...being subborn as hell, but doing well). It reminded me that we're starting to get some people in the family to the age where they're not going to be here forever. I want to be able to say I tried to get everyone together. My uncle has said a couple of times that he'd really like to have another reunion. His health is not in a place, though, where he should be planning one. And no one else is stepping up to the plate. So, I'm going to send a feeler e-mail out this week to see what people think. And, if anyone else offers to plan it, well, I'll gladly give them my info from the last trip and let them plan. I tend to think that won't happen, though.

ETA: My goodness can I be organized! I can't believe some of the info I kept from the last family reunion. Crazy!

Our wings are not tired.

Hi vw! Loved the pictures. I actually don't think it is crazy to do the family reunion. The 2nd time won't be as tough.

Just got the 1st one off to school, now to wake up the second shift.

Happy Birthday Owen!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Happy Birthday Owen!

Today we go tour the preschool Aidan will be attending in the fall. I can't seem to get awake. Tired, tired, tired.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

went to the the-ay-tah last night- the ART's production of Olly's Prison.

It was, you know, OK. Some stuff was interesting, some stuff was a little over the top, and I was a bit puzzled about some of the characters, but it was all good, because I was thinking about it, and I love thinking about theater.

Mostly because my other thoughts are wrapped up with real estate stuff.

Quick update. Put in an offer, it was counteroffered 5K less than the listing price. We submitted a second offer last night which is 12.5K higher than our original offer. The owners are sleeping on it, and their agent is in jury duty all morning. So, yay. Now off to call our mortgage guy.

This is some exciting stuff. Not episiotomy exciting, mind you, but you know, agonizing and painful in its own small way.
