[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Timelies. (I keep trying to type "timelines" when I mean "timelies" - I think it's my outer geek attempting to wrest control from my inner, latent human again.)

Anyway: how-dee. Pardon the silence, but I was changing jobs and starting school (just night school, Spanish, but I know more now than under Alfredo's LACKADAISICAL TUTELAGE, the slacker).

I see you've all been busy. It's going to take me forever to catch up, so I won't even try. Pretend I've been here the whole time, and I'll pretend I know what's been going on.

slinks away to collapse feebly in the corner

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Pretend I've been here the whole time, and I'll pretend I know what's been going on.

Trust my rage

(just night school, Spanish, but I know more now than under Alfredo's LACKADAISICAL TUTELAGE, the slacker).

For me, the greatest part of learning Spanish is that I can now understand the in-laws without any trouble. Of course, now they expect me to speak to them in Spanish, which makes me nervous at times.

I'm under a deadline to be fluent reading/writing/speaking Castellanos. 3 years and counting to emigration to either Madrid (well, Barcelona, except Alfredo's afraid I'll get REALLY confused in the differences between Castellanos and Catalan, and Barcelona is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE) or the family estate in the Canaries ("estate" means "no mortgage or television or cars, but there is electricity - and we think running water").

I just watched Eddie Izzard's "Glorious"...OMG! Is that too fucking funny. I thought "cake or death" impossible to top, but Bwah! Funny...I don't believe I've ever heard or seen an American use the word "glorious" ever.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Z!

I'm home early from Girls night out. T has a class tommorrow and had to study.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I don't believe I've ever heard or seen an American use the word "glorious" ever.

Obviously, not enough time spent around the worst of the Trek geeks.

I can't even read the word without hearing it in my head, Klingon style.

Then I start to twitch.

Luckily for me, the first thing that comes to mind is the Breeders song. The second thing that comes to mind is Klingons.
