Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Oh, I totally meant to have a bagel for breakfast this morning and then I forgot! Curses. (I did have cereal instead, and it was fine, but a bagel would have been BETTER.)

And from a ways back, about the water filters/purifiers: meara, it probably isn't going to be worth it to you to bring a water filter. I mean, filters are better from an environmental perspective, because then you're not wasting all that plastic with the bottled water, but they are kind of expensive; I think mine is on the cheap/low end, and IIRC it was around $50. It would be a useful thing to have, but it would take up space in your bag, and I'm sure you can get by just fine with bottled water. Anyway, looks like flea and Fay (for Egypt) and John and Thuy (for Vietnam) are your best references.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Glad the bridezilla thing worked out, Susan. And yay for Aimee's awesome trainer!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

if a strange, good looking guy comes to the Krav Center asking for you, remember who loved you enough to send him

If he's single too, I may have to build a shrine to you.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

good for you VW!

good for you susan!

I am wondering when I am going to be well. and more like me. I miss my bed ( I am sleeping in our big cair because I can sleep upright) I miss my husband - he is not himself. but most of all I miss me. I am way cranky and have no ambition to do anything.

Librarian Warlord

Currently sending out b.p. ~ma for Plei and PTB, easy labor ~ma and happy baby ~ma on the horizon.

Go, vw! You have already accomplished more today than I have. However, this:

Damn. My psych prof said there is more research out there that I haven't found in my search for my final project.

had me yelling (in my head), "Ask a Librarian!"

Susan, it sounds like Bridezilla has been balanced out by the Musical Saint. If you can't change her, it's good to know the other type of person is out there.

As for tattoos, I've sometimes really wanted one, sometimes been very glad not to have any, and I don't think it's something to be ambivalent about. So I remain tattoo-free.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

This story [link] is really worth reading.

Aimee, don't miss it!
