Ok, because apparently the God I'm not sure I believe in is vengeful, anyway. I hate it when that happens. Edited quite a few pages...it's a drag that I spend as much time taking out words as putting them in in the first place.ETA: Aw, Sean. How nice. And disgusting. Thanks very much.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

wrod. I've got a book that's got a few interesting checklists of things to keep in mind when going over writing, but it's all couched in this "the first draft was just indulgence, revision is where the fun is!" I think the author is a whack job.

BWAH. I think editing is even more painful than writing. Painful, but usually necessary.
I'm dragging today. The house is a wreck (as the result of us being gone for two days) and it smells strongly of dog. I need to get around to spring cleaning at some point. Maybe this summer.
And you don't have to do it one-handed, either, am I right? But on the plus side, I think I made the right choices. Don't know, Connie, it does sound like something a patient, crafter-type might say, but that is Not Me, infinity. Part of me still hoped it would all be perfect.
Where's the best place to find food coloring for cake decorating? I looked in the grocery and couldn't find it.
The grocery store. *ducks* If you checked in the baking aisle, and it wasn't there, check where all the spices and stuff are. If you checked where all the spices and stuff are, and there's none there, check in the baking aisle. *ducks again*

Grocery stores do usually have the red-green-blue-yellow liquid colors. It's hard to get much color intensity with those, so I usually use paste colors. Big craft stores like Michael's carry Wilton decorating stuff, and some giant kitchen stores do too.

{{Cashmere}} I hope things get better soon.
I did not go to my 10 year HS reunion, because I really didn't want to spend the entire evening having conversations that went along the lines of "Jilli! I haven't seen you in forever. So ... you're still ... weird, huh?"
Pffftt. Corset-style piercings. Whatever. Seen 'em before, and it's not like they're permanent. Since they're surface piercings, you're only supposed to leave them in for something like a week at most. Good for photo shoots or fetish events where you want to look extra-hardcore.
Nice to know tht the corset piercings are temporary. They look like they could get caught on things.
This bit from an article in Slate caught my attention:
In an age when preposterously coiffed tycoons engage in serial matrimony with ever younger and more beautiful partners, Charles is doing his bit to atone for the sins of rich, middle-aged men everywhere. He's making an honest woman of his age-appropriate partner, a woman with whom he is well-matched in looks, habits, and hobbies, whom he has known and loved for more than 30 years. Charles' mistake was to get his weddings out of order: He married his first wife second and his trophy wife first.

I am so softcore.
He married his first wife second and his trophy wife first.
Heh.
