Inara: I think she looks adorable. Mal: Yeah, but I never said it.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

My fifth would have been last year, but I think no one actually organized it, so it didn't happen. When it comes time for the tenth, if there is one, I might go.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

my 10 year college reunion is coming up in a couple months, I'll likely go to that- thankfully I live locally to the school.

Having a dashing new husband to show off certainly isn't any motivation, oh no.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

For y'all with questions--yes, I am in fact going around the world--DC to New Zealand (Auckland, and possibly Christchurch), to Sydney, Australia, to Vietnam, to Cairo, to Frankfurt (just overnight), and home.

Wait. What? Was that a mention of, mayhap, Australia?

Our wings are not tired.

I didn't go to the 10th, 20th, or 30th HS reunions. Didn't care what happened to any of them. It wasn't that I had a bad HS, I just wasn't really involved. I left town shortly after that time and don't remember any students that were in my class. Most of my friends were older.

My 20th college reunion will be coming up (yes, it took me 16 years to finish my BS). I could go to that, particularly since Brendon was in the same class.

Puffs up chest. We were given a joint Distinguished Alumni Award a few years after we graduated. That was cool.

Thrive to spite them

Annabel is so cute! She's got the cutest nose.

My 10 yr reunion was 3 years ago. I didn't go even though I wanted to see how people turned out. But three years go I wasn't working and still coming to terms with the bipolar diagnosis, and struggling to find the right med combination and I didn't want to deal with explinations and reasons for my "failure"* in life.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congrats, NovaChild! A friend of mine got her Master's in Librarian Stuff (I don't know the real name for it) at Teacher's College, she loved it there. And I think eyeliner is almost always a good move for guys it looks good on - perhaps a surprising opinion since I don't wear it myself, but that is only because I am lazy, not because I don't like it.

I missed my 10-year reunion, as it happened when I was utterly broke and a couiple thousand miles away from my high school. My 20 year should be next year, if it happens, but it probably won't. My high school doesn't have any sort of alumni association and I don't remember having class presidents. The last reunion was an ad hoc thing organized by a girl who didn't even graduate from our school. I'm missing my 15 year college reunion the end of the month because a friend of mine (who I met while in college, but she didn't go to my school) is getting married that weekend. I'm really not good at making it to reunions. I have this idea that I'd like them if I could get to them, though. I'm all nostalgic and stuff.

I like Annabel's cake, it's happy looking. So is Annabel. Conclusion: Susan makes Happiness.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Happy Belated Birthdays for Annabel and AmyLiz!! Sorry I missed them.

Military funerals are of the suck. Bleh.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Timelies.

I most emphatically did not go to my 10-year high school reunion, nor have I gone to any of my annual college reunions (Homecoming is a big thing for them. I haven't the faintest idea why, since most of the student body, and specifically the kind of people who go to Homecoming every year, took pains to not be on campus during the weekends). I don't dislike any of my fellow HS alums, but it's over and I have no desire to fly 5+ hours to sit around a bonfire and drink beer. We did that enough in school.

Good morning. I'm apparently wearing the crankyskirt today.

juliana, I had a dream last night that I found out that you used to live near me (specifically, Jamacia Plain, a kind of funky, hipster neihborhood/city adjoining Boston and Brookine) but by the time I found that out you had moved to MN.

I was so bummed out!

Now tagless for your comfort.

DH just called. He has to go to Atlanta for work--flying out Sunday and will be gone for Owen's first birthday on Monday.

I hope there is room in the crankyskirt for two.
