Occasionally I'm callous and strange.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

It's had it's ups and downs. I got screwed over by another temp assignment, which in turn screwed me over as far as getting an on-set job (I passed on the on-set job in order to not screw over the temp assignment, who then screwed me over).

Then my clutch went out, turning my car into a giant paperweight.

But other than that, things are fine.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ugh, sorry about the temp agency and the car. I hope things start turning your way soon.

cool = relative thing

Being cooler can involve micro-degrees. But still, I was happier than I'd been in school and really enjoyed people who weren't so enjoyable before. It was a nice cross-dimensional kind of shift.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

My ten year reunion was fun, if a bit on the underplanned side.

So many of the guys were balding. It was scary.

The guy I'd photomanipulated into baldness for the April Fool's edition of the school paper senior year looked just like the manip. (He was one of our editors, as well as being Senior Class President, and thus the body responsible for the underplanning.)

There was a lot of drinking, a lot of catching up, and Ron Jeremy got mentioned (Back before his stint on the Surreal Life), which earned me points.

This too. And the head cheerleader had 4, count them four kids by then. Phew.

I'm really hoping to make it to my 10 year reunion. If it happens (I haven't heard yet), it's going to be in the super crunch time at work, so I'm hoping it's Saturday night so I can fly out in the afternoon and fly back Sunday morning. Cause hey--I'll be able to say I've just flown around the world! That'll sound cool! I'm hoping that the fabulous single life in the city will sound cooler than the lameness I'll feel when everyone is married with kids except me.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I missed my 10-year reunion, and am now only four years shy of my 20-year. Someone get me my cane.

Loved the music in the movie. Really need to get this soundtrack.

Me too. I need some new writing music.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Susan and Gloomcookie have new tags. Health-ma for Jeff. Marriage-ma for Gud. I disappear again.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

How much longer will it be before it's really okay for mostly-straight guys to wear makeup? I mean, I know enough about how makeup works to know that given a bit of the right foundation and some properly applied eyeliner, I would look much better than I do, but what's the point if the same girls that then find me hot are immediately disgusted by the "feminine" nature of said makeup use? It's annoying. My eyes are by far my best feature, and yet they are doomed to fade into the paleness of their surroundings, not allowed to shine through their contrast with a thin dark line of artificial shadow.

Late to the question, but Gaultier already has a men's line. From what I remember it's concealer, bronzer and eyeliner. Here's his line "taut beau" [link]

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I only went to my 10 year reunion because my dear dear friend wanted to go. I found it, well, tedious. But at least I can safely say I'm over the whole reunion thing now.
